HOW WELL CAN YOU READ THE CARDS?....... ( Problem to solve by Bridgemeister Gibson ) Good bridge players are supposed to have the ability to read the opponenmts' cards, almost as if they can see through the backs of them. But how many of you can see through the backs of these clues, to identify the hand held by this particular opponent. You are allowed 30 minutes surfing the net to unravel the solution. South had in his possession two Casinos, a big one and a little one. Then he caressed the suicidal king. Suddenly, Condoleezza Rice and Donald Rumsfeld came into view, and immediately thoughts of "weasels" flashed through his head. His hand looked pretty good despite seeing a card, which only grace from Kilkenny would have liked. The tart maker was there alright, alongside King David of Israel, who was hiding behind the devil's bed-posts. He peeled back another card which made him think of Dylan's Rosemary and Lily. Ironically, as the dreadful news came through of England's rugby union defeat to Scotland, that cursed card popped out. Novel thoughts of the New Arabian Nights crossed his mind, when the last two cards came into view......one depicting the murderer, the other his intended victim. What a coincidence. What a hand....certainly good enough for a strong two opener?
